Neoprene in Cerulean

We have a fair advantage of the sun lately as I feel we have the longest summer. Even on mid-March we're still experiencing balmy nights and sultry mornings. I am thankful for it, the scintillating sun that's reflecting the dazzling water in the harbour is a good testament to it.
The Rocks Sydney

The Rocks Sydney
I am blessed to have my work situated near Sydney harbour where I can slip out for lunch in the jetty blending in with the bustling tourists. The Rocks is a tourist precinct, lined up with trendy cafes,  restaurants and historic buildings. The views of the iconic Harbour Bridge make this area very popular to tourists. This is the home of the Museum of the Contemporary Art and adjacent to it is the Port of Sydney the premier cruise ship destination.

Charles and Keith bag

I know I have to wear something that would relate to the blue waters when I conceived the thought of taking pictures here. I didn’t mind to look like a tourist but being familiar with the area our shoot was quick and snap.
Bettina Liano dress

This neoprene dress is from an Australian designer Bettina Liano. The colours which contain the hues of blue where cerulean stands out the most resemble the different shades of blue in the water, don’t you think so?

Neoprene Dress

The neoprene fabric itself however thick and not breathable is form fitting and more forgiving. It is opaque so there would never be a risk for it to be see-through and to crease, not to mention it’s incredibly comfortable. The overlapping slit in the front enables me to move easily and be more flexible.

Sydney Harbour

Neoprene is the same material they use to make scuba diving suits, therefore I know I would be more buoyant in case I will accidentally fall into the water :)
Bettina Liano dress

Oh yea, I had to wear a lace-up wedges with it. I guess it made the ensemble more hip and at the same time cooled down my feet from traipsing in the sweltering sun.
