Wine Dress at Bare Island and My One-Year old Blog

If there is no social media to post updates would you still bother to go outside and check the great outdoors? Honestly, I will probably do less than what I am doing right now. But every now and then we should not be a couch-potato and see what's out there.

 

 Whether it is observing nature or the town's festivities, it is such a refreshing thing to do. Go outside without bringing a camera although that part is very hard for me. I think if I have a material twin, it would be a camera :) I would be the saddest person if I forget to bring one. Tell me, who wouldn't be sad to miss capturing these views of nature, the island and the man made bridge.

 

One cold sunny day my family went to Bare Island which is an islet in south-eastern Sydney. It was one of the locations of the movie Mission Impossible 2. Bare Island is connected by a footbridge to the suburb of La Perouse, to see this beautiful suburb check my older post here.

 
When I saw this dress from my favourite shop in QVB I had this mini adventure kind of getaway in mind. The wine colour makes it great for cool season as it looks rich, plush and heart warming. The choker style is another on point factor and in trend. I chose to pair it with a sleeveless tan cape rather than long sleeves just because they look good together, don't you agree? Ok, I got away with it because it was very sunny that day and wasn't full winter yet. Had it been this time of the year, I will freeze and couldn't smile this much.

 

Lastly to more exciting news, this little blog turns 1 year this week, woohoo! I was actually not serious when I started this, that time I only wanted an outlet to vent my sentiments. The first post was worrying over my baby not being able to walk yet as you can see it in here. Such a bad parent was I broadcasting about it but I was only trying to document. But at the same time I couldn't keep his cute photos holding on from one table to another trying to move unassisted.

 

As it turned out I lacked material about him so I venture more on my weekly getaways, what appropriate clothes and shoes I wore and bags I used. In this way it is not too much effort as this is how I normally go, scrambling from one outfit to another deciding which bag matches. So cheers to my little corner of webspace, I hope you will stick with me and will survive for another year or more :)
