The Graffiti art of Hosier Lane

Hosier LaneOne peculiar thing Melbourne is known for is its spray-printed streets. The Graffiti Management Plan of Melbourne established permits for artists and endorsed their work in designated areas of the city. Right on the same day we toured the major CBD attractions, we detoured to the famous Hosier Lane.

Graffiti art

Yea, we didn't waste a day since this alley is right in Flinders Street adjacent to ACMI but easy to miss if you're not aware of it. I got to change outfit for this but sticking to my favourite colour red which also shows my support for art and culture.

Hosier Lane Melbourne
That little lane in the middle of these 2 buildings on the above photos is Hosier. Nothing spectacular to be expected from the outside but as soon as you step in, it's a completely different world.
Hosier Lane Cafe
What to wear in Melbourne

A café is even found in the middle of the lane, unexpected but quite charming to be there.

Tutle Neck top

Gucci Interlocking bag

Looks shady but it was safe when we were there. I didn't know how it looks during the night and I won't go there as there are other fun things to catch in the CBD area.

 Melbourne Graffiti
 Bubble skirt
As for my outfit, I wore this mini bubble skirt and paired with red turtle neck top. I couldn't get away from wrapping myself as it was really chilly in Melbourne. I'm not sure if the bubble skirt is back but it was spotted in Louis Vuitton S/S 2016 runway. I just couldn't resist picking up this skirt as it was easy to pack-up too in the luggage. And black looks good with red, I chose to sport in bold block colours to not get lost in the sea of colourful art that is found in Hosier Lane.

  42. I haven't actually seen a graffiti art in person which is as beautiful as this one. Here in the Philippines, you know how the walls are just filled with vandals which aren't really nice to look at. Some were just bad words or anything that aren't pleasing to the eyes. Hence, I know that there are some places here with walls of art and it looks wonderful too. :) Hope to hear from you soon!
