Pinafore Dress at a School Fete

Pinafore dressOne of the important things I learned as a mother is never to lose your inner child and that you can still have fun especially with your children. Sure, motherhood is a serious matter, raising and disciplining your children is a darn hard job but chilling out is equally important. Probably, that's why there are school activities that involve the participation of parents. Not only to raise money for the school :) but to also encourage social interaction among families. So we went to one of my sons' school fete where we stuffed ourselves with food and drinks and watched him take on many different rides. I wore this pinafore dress and cold shoulder top to go with the event.
Mango Dress
His school is located on a hill, therefore has an expanse view of the area. It maybe sunny that day but the air was also cool so wearing this tweed pinafore dress and long sleeve top was a good idea. Got this dress from Mango and the cold shoulder top from Atmos&Here. This kind of dress actually can pull several years from your age although I dressed for comfort more than the younger-looking agenda :)

Yes, you got it right, my favourite colour is red :) I chose to wear a patent oxford shoes to break the red colour all over me. And also because I haven't had any opportunity to wear these shoes since I got them as I always leave the house in heels. I reckoned this was the perfect time to strut them.

So after spending half of the day in his school with my red Prada cross body bag few hundred bucks lighter we went home with toys, flowers and more food. At least the sunflowers were useful for my next outfit prop, hence I was still smiling :)

  25. Mercy, you must have been the stylish mom at your son's school function. I really like this outfit, and red is always a good choice. The hat makes the outfit. It looks like this was a fun event and that you are enjoying yourself.

Wishing you wonderful days leading up to Christmas.
